Damiana
Damiana is a Central American plant with yellow flowers, that is harvested, and dried into an herb composed of leaves, stems, and flowers. In addition, damiana is used for depression, anxiety, spasms, urinary problems, diabetes and menstrual issues.
Rose & Damiana Elixir
Fill a jar with fagrant rose petals, add 3 tablespoons dried damiana, a tablespoon each of ashwagandla, shatavari root, and a stick of cinnamon (or vanilla bean).
Fill to half or three quarters full with brandy or vodka, and fill the rest of the way with honey. Let sit for 4-6 weeks, shaking and stirring occasionally. Stain and bottle.
Damiana Iced Tea
Mix 2 heaping teaspoons of damiana, 1 heaping teaspoon of mint, add some rose petals. Pour boiling water on the mixture, and let brew for 5 minutes, strain and serve over ice.
